Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025

The UAE is preparing to host the highly anticipated Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025, a national platform dedicated to showcasing the capabilities and potential of the country’s industrial sector. Organized by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), this year’s forum will feature over 5,000 locally produced productsfrom key sectors including aerospace, pharmaceuticals, energy, and food manufacturing.

Key highlights:

  • Purchasing opportunities are projected to exceed AED 165 billion, a significant leap from AED 45 billion in 2024.
  • The forum aims to drive domestic manufacturing, reduce import dependency, and position the UAE as a regional industrial powerhouse.
  • Strategic partnerships with government entities, national champions, and global investors are expected to be formalized during the event.

The forum will also include matchmaking sessions between local manufacturers and buyers, investment roundtables, and the announcement of major procurement contracts and incentives for UAE-based production facilities.

Khaleej Times reports that the forum will be a major milestone in the UAE’s Industrial Strategy 2031, which aims to increase the industrial sector’s contribution to GDP and attract significant FDI.

🇺🇸 UAE–US Economic Engagement

In a landmark diplomatic and business event, U.S. President Donald Trump visited the United Arab Emirates in May 2025, participating in a high-level U.S.–UAE business roundtable. The forum, hosted in Abu Dhabi, brought together top government officials, Fortune 500 CEOs, and key investors from both nations.

Key outcomes:

  • Discussions centered around energy cooperation, defense manufacturing, AI development, and green technology partnerships.
  • Several multibillion-dollar bilateral agreements were signed across sectors, including aviation, logistics, and infrastructure development.
  • A new U.S.–UAE Joint Economic Commission was announced, designed to streamline trade, harmonize regulations, and explore opportunities for co-investment in emerging markets.

This visit underscores the UAE’s strategic role as a gateway for U.S. businesses into the MENA region, while reinforcing the deepening commercial and political ties between the two nations.
