Foreign Investors Return: FPI Inflows Surge in June

After a period of net outflows, Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have returned to the Indian stock market in a big way. According to data from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), FPIs have injected over Rs 12,170 crores into the market in June so far. This positive trend is a welcome sign for the Indian economy, as it indicates renewed confidence from foreign investors. Analysts believe this could trigger a rally in the stock market, particularly in sectors that are attractive to FPIs, such as IT, pharmaceuticals, and banking. The return of FPIs is also expected to boost the rupee’s value against the US dollar.
